If you're like a lot of the soon-to-be-mothers I meet, you may be a little camera shy right now. Especially when you're seven to nine months pregnant. And who can blame you! After all, your body has changed over the last several months, your baby is sitting low and you probably feel uncomfortable even walking from the kitchen to the living room sofa. Believe me, I can absolutely relate.

Before you know it your child will soon be snug in your arms and your pregnancy will be a distant memory. With the bump to Baby session we capture your gorgeous maternal glow followed by a session of your beautiful baby.

In your maternity shoot, we'll take a variety of photographs of you in different poses. As long as you're comfortable, we'll get photographs of you laying down, sitting, standing, and leaning. Some will hone in on that adorable baby bump, some may be silhouettes of your frame and others will capture the bond between you and your significant other.

In your newborn session, we capture the pure essence of your baby, the tiny details of their eyelashes, the crinkles in their feet, their little button nose alongside images of them curled up snug in 100% organic wool. We love to capture the love between your family and the way they fit so nicely in your arms. Newborn sessions ideally take place when your baby is between 4 and 14 days.

I want to capture what you're feeling. I want to document the looks exchanged between mother, father, and baby. Those are moments so precious that you can't even describe them with the letters of the alphabet. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but I contend that a picture is worth far more. A picture captures impalpable essence.

In addition to getting some photographs of you and dad with baby, my newborn sessions also include a series of photographs taken of just your newborn. For example, I like to get details of their little feet, a tiny hand clasped around dad's finger, that button nose, and tuft of fluffy hair.
